SCR on a mission to complete projects

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) is keen on completing the last mile projects. A push and a shove is all that is needed to see the commissioning of the projects.
In a high-level video conference review meeting here on Thursday, SCR general manager Ravindra Gupta directed the heads of various departments to complete the targeted works as per schedule.
He undertook a detailed review of the Nandyal-Yerraguntla, Peddapalli-Nizamabad, Bidar-Gulbarga, Vishnupuram-Motumari, Raghavapuram-Peddampet and Mancherial-Mandamarri patch tripling and Kazipet-Vijayawada third line works.
He stressed upon the need to complete all the last mile projects to strengthen infrastructure and help in capacity augmentation for railway network. He also reviewed the critical activities related to projects, including deployment of manpower for operation and maintenance, essential passenger amenities, etc.
The progress of all ongoing new lines, doubling and electrification projects in the zone was also reviewed with principal heads of the departments, heads of construction organisations, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) and RE projects. DRMs of Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal and Nanded divisions participated through video conference.
Additional General Manager AK Gupta, Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) Bhoolchandani, Chief Project Manager (RVNL) P Srinivas, Principal Chief Engineer SN Singh, Chief Operations Manager N Madhusudhana Rao, Chief Commercial Manager P. Ganeswara Rao, FA & CAO Padmini Radhakrishnan and officials were present.
