Visakhapatnam: MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar who visited the King George Hospital (KGH) here on Wednesday expressed opinion of
having a modern and full-fledged children’s park in between Rajendra Prasad ward and the Paediatrics block to help entertain the little
children accompanying the patients to various departments.

The MLA assured that he would discuss the issue with the Vuda authorities for a park. He also visited the internal roads, exterior of the
buildings, drainage system and attendants’ shelters along with the Superintendent Dr G Arjuna, Deputy Superintendents Dr N B Vijay
Kumar and Dr K Satyavara Prasad, CSRMO Dr K S L G Sastry and the engineering staff. He asked the engineers to plan for a good
ambiance with greenery and lighting at the entrance.

Vasupalli instructed that the underground drainage system must be completed within the stipulated period of 45 days and not in six
months as was suggested by the contractor. The security supervisors were directed to be vigilant at all times in and around the hospital
to ensure security of the patients and attendants. ARMO Dr B Bangaraiah, Dr M Vijaysankar, engineers, HoDs and sanitary staff were also
present.

Earlier, Dr Arjuna held a meeting with the Equipment Committee members with regard to the maintenance of medical
equipment/machines working in the KGH. He asked the TBS company representatives who took up maintenance to complete the tagging
the entire equipment in 10 days and instructed them to paste red stickers on the equipment that is ‘Beyond Economic Repair’ and to
prepare an action plan for preventive maintenance of the equipment.
