Visakhapatnam: Andhra University vice chancellor Prof G Nageswara Rao said that the literary works of Indian-origin foreign linguists and other prominent authors must be read with a critical approach.Releasing a book titled ‘V S Naipaul’s India and Linguistic Distance’ penned by the English faculty member Dr T K V Srinivasa Rao of P R Government Degree College, Kakinada here on Friday, the VC said that Naipaul had contributed a lot to the English literature.

He congratulated Dr Kalachina Shanthi, senior faculty member, Hindi department of Gayatri Vidya Parishad, who attended the international conference on Hindi studies held in Paris recently, in which over 200 delegates from various countries attended.She submitted a research paper on ‘Use of Hindi language in various media and its impact on language and linguistcs’. AU executive council member Prof. M Prasada Rao, Dr Adiseshu and Abhishek were also present.
