Collector compliments Control Room personnel
District Collector Kona Sashidhar visited the Command Control Room (CCR) and monitored the supply of water to the parched red gram dal crops of farmers through rain guns, on Tuesday.
Anantapur: District Collector Kona Sashidhar visited the Command Control Room (CCR) and monitored the supply of water to the parched red gram dal crops of farmers through rain guns, on Tuesday.
Addressing agriculture officers and personnel manning the control room, the collector instructed them to wet the roots of the plants to ensure the survival of the crops. He appreciated the control room personnel for effectively operating the centre at a time of crisis for the farmers. He asked the personnel to pass on all the pleas of the farmers for crop wetting to the mandal agriculture officers and to the joint director of Agriculture.
He said that the geo-tagging of all farmers’ bore-wells had been completed and asked the Agriculture and Minor irrigation authorities to take prior approval of farmers before executing the wetting operation. Agriculture JD Sriramamurthy and APMIC project director Venkateshwarulu were present.
