Vijayawada: Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh chess players are in the top position after completion of second round in the Sri Chaitanya International FIDE Rated Open Chess Tournament being conducted at Royal Green City at Kanuru near Vijayawada on Saturday.

 In the second round, top seed and International Master Chakravarthi Reddy (2204) won against C Mukesh, while N Lokesh (2179) was defeated by Rohit Yadav BR (1373). In other games, International Masters and FIDE Masters won their matches comfortably.

 After completion of second round, T Chandran (TN), Chakravarthi Reddy (AP), J Rama Krishna (Andhra Bank), Balasubramaniam (TN), Vinoth Kumar M (TN), KN Gopal (Andhra Bank), J Malleswara Rao (AP) and YVK Chakravarthy (AP) all have two points each and are at the top of the points table.
