Anti-Hindu propaganda needs to be countered

The fourth SHDS (convention) held in Tirumala on Monday resolved to take up appropriate action on anti-Hindu propaganda and also create awareness among the followers of Sanathana Dharma to resist the attack which is of late is on the rise.
Over sixty seers and pontiffs from various mutts and Hindu religious institutions from across the country and representatives of like-minded organisations took part in the one day convention being organized by Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust (HDPT) with the support of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), held in Asthana Mandapam, Tirumala on Monday.
The meet also sought compulsory education for the children of poor and expressed readiness of seers and Hindu religious institutions supporting financially for the education of poor for their upliftment. It also wanted to speed up the construction of temples in Harijanawadas, taken by the government endowment department with the support of TTD for which TTD had already allocated Rs 25 crore for construction of 500 temples at a cost of Rs 5 lakh each.
The convention also adopted a resolution to involve villagers in a big way in Dharmic activities including conducting of religious celebrations, bhajans and also educative programmes like examinations on Sanathana Dharma.
HDPT chairman PVRK Prasad in his address elaborated on the aim of the convention which emphasises on protection of Hindu Sanatana Dharma and bringing all the seers of various mutts onto a single platform for taking up multi fold service activities in the grass root level and also counter anti-Hindu propaganda.
About the actions taken by HDPT on the resolutions of SHDS held in 2015, Prasad said ``We have trained villagers and formed a Hindu Force and today there are about 400 such members offering services as Hindu Dharma Pracharakulu working in the villages against conversions particularly from among the vulnerable sections likes Dalits’’. The meet commenced with Anugraha Bhashanam by Tirumala Chinna Jiyar Swamy who called for intensifying efforts for spreading the message of Vedas containing the essence of Hindu Sanatana Dharma.
TTD chairman Ch Krishna Murthy and Executive Officer D Sambasiva Rao dwelt at length on TTD’s socio religious activities and also its initiatives for Dharma Prachara, including protecting, preserving and promoting Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
AP Endowments principal secretary JSV Prasad said the department launched a unique `Divya Darshanam’ programme on January 2 this year, enabling the people of Dalitawadas to have free darshan in all famous temples in the state which will be extended soon to cover temples outside the state.
Endowment commissioner YV Anuradha, TTD trust board members, officials and others were present.
