He received tumultuous welcome in his native district as this was his maiden visit after assuming charge as Minster. He delivered his maiden speech as Minister after garlanding the NTR Statue here on Friday.
He thanked Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for reposing faith in him and inducting into his cabinet, he said that he will live up to the expectations of the Chief Minister. “The attachment with the Chief Minister was not new. My father and I worked as MP and MLA representing the TDP.
During the last elections, I joined another party under unavoidable circumstances,” he said. Chandrababu has called him and gave the cabinet berth with key portfolio of Industries. He asserted that he will strive hard to bring more industries to the state as well as to the district. He assured of putting all the efforts for the state’s development.
ZP Chairperson Girvani Chandra Prakash, MLA M Sugunamma, MLC and party district president G Srinivasulu, party leaders R Sudha Rani, G Narasimha Yadav, D Bhaskar Yadav, Sreedhar Varma, K Balasubramanyam, RC Munikrishna and Mandalapu Mohan Rao were present.
Leaders, cadre and media had a tough time in scorching heat as the programme was delayed by almost two-and-a-half hours. They all stood under blazing sun all the time. Later, the Minister’s entourage left for his constituency Palamaner with a procession of cars.
