Link petitions to Aadhaar, mobile for quick service

Chittoor: District Collector PS Pradyumna directed the district officials to resolve the grievances within 7 days which were received during Prajavani, a weekly grievance programme. Each petition received in the Prajavani should be registered along with Aadhaar and mobile numbers for ensuring quick and reliable service to petitioners, he added.

He said people are visiting the Collectorate from far off places and submitting petitions with a hope of resolving their issues. After conclusion of the Prajavani programme, the Collector held a meeting with district heads and explained the purpose of the government in conducting the Prajavani every week.

He informed officials to clear petitions received in the Prajavani in a week’s time. Pradyumna further said that officials should focus on resolving complaints related to the Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, DWMA and DRDA on priority basis. He instructed the Project Directors of DWMA and DRDA to open command control rooms in their respective offices with immediate effect for facilitating the beneficiaries of the schemes to talk directly with the official concerned for sorting out their problems.

The Collector instructed all the district-level officials to obtain smart phones at the earliest to discharge their assignments in an effective manner. The state government would take steps to provide smart phones to the district officials if needed, he added. Joint Collector 2 P Venkata Subba Reddy, District Revenue Officer Rajia Begum and other officials were present.
