Give top priority to economic support programmes:Kartikeya Mishra
East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed bankers to give top priority to ground units promoted by various corporations under economic support programmes to the poor.He reviewed the progress of units allocated by SC, ST, BC and Kapu corporations with bankers at Collectorate, here on Wednesday. He said that onus was on banks to extend cooperation in implementation of various welfare program
Kakinada: East Godavari Collector Kartikeya Mishra directed bankers to give top priority to ground units promoted by various corporations under economic support programmes to the poor.He reviewed the progress of units allocated by SC, ST, BC and Kapu corporations with bankers at Collectorate, here on Wednesday. He said that onus was on banks to extend cooperation in implementation of various welfare programs meant for the poor.
“First time, liaison officers are appointed at mandal level to coordinate with bankers for grounding of units,” he said and asked the officials to expedite grounding by fixing ten units by each bank branch to achieve target. Mishra said that many poor people were expecting support from the government and the bankers were expected to act accordingly. He directed the lead manager to call for a meeting of all controlling officers of important banks on May 20 to review the progress of grounding of units.
