Vijayawada: Urban Development minister M Venkaiah Naidu said on Saturday the BJP national president Amit Shah will participate in the BJP booth level party workers meeting to be held at Siddhartha Medical college grounds at 4 p.m. on May 25 as part of the nationwide campaign to strengthen the party.

Addressing a media conference at the party office here, Venkaiah Naidu said that Amit Shah was on a 95-day nation-wide mission to tour the country and address the party leaders and functionaries. He said the entry will be restricted to some booth level workers. He said the BJP is strengthening its base in the country to have 352 MPs in both houses. He said the BJP is going ahead with agenda of Reform, Perform and Transform and been preparing for the 2019 elections with development policies.

Commenting on the grand alliance of opposition parties, he said unity would not be possible with the parties of different ideologies and opinions. He said many leaders in the opposition parties have criminal backgrounds and added that these parties cannot work together with one goal of defeating the BJP. Health minister Kamineni Srinivas, MP Kambhampati Haribabu and other leaders were present.
