Pithapuram: The police arrested CPM district secretary Duvva Sheshu Bhabji and farmers’ union secretary Gurala Appa Reddy in KSEZ of Kothapally mandal when they were trying to attend a meeting at Ramanakkapet on Sunday in protest against the Land Amendment Act 2013. Later, the police took them to Kothapally police station. Pithapuram division secretary K Simhachalam condemned the arrests.The TDP government is suppressing the rights of people, he said. They should be immediately released from the jail, Simhachalam demanded.
