Mayor unveils a slew of measures to improve governance
Digital door numbers are going to be set up for all the houses in the Municipal Corporation of Rajamahendravaram, Mayor Pantam Rajani Sesha Sai said here on Friday. She mentioned that the details including pending houses will be connected to Command Control room.

She addressed the press after attending three-day national seminar held on municipal development in Mumbai. She said that the people’s representatives and officials from 50 corporations in the country attended the seminar. She informed that the requirements of the people in the urban areas as well as the income sources have been discussed in the seminar and added that the main discussion was held on the releasing of sewage water and supplying of drinking water.
Speaking further, Rajani Sesha Sai said that all steps are being taken to enhance educational standards in the corporation.
Stating that all the steps have been taken to supply water round the clock in the corporation area, she said that meters will be connected to every house which has water tap connection to enhance the income of the corporation and added that new pipelines are being laid to supply drinking water uninterruptedly.
She further said that urban health centres will be strengthened to improve health conditions in the corporation and health officer has been directed to inspect hotels in the wake of complaints made by some people that the oil is being recycled in some hotels in the city.
