9 die, 16 injured in separate accidents

This tragic incident occurred at around 5 am. The deceased were identified as G Venkateswarlu (37), G Vijayalakshmi (40), B Greeshma (10) V Saimohitha (10), Argitha (8), all natives of Ibrahimpatnam in Hyderabad city.

According to the sources, G.Venkateswarlu along with 14 members of his family and friends are returning to Hyderabad from Tirupati in a van after having a darshan of Lord, when the vehicle in which they are travelling hit a sand-loaded tractor, which is parked at Kanagudur village of Duvvuru mandal.

While five died on the spot, 10 were injured and they were shifted to a private hospital in Kurnool, where their condition stated to be critical.Mydukuru DSP R Srinivasulu, Mydukuru Urban CI A Venkateswarlu visited the incident spot and Duvvuru police registered the case.

Meanwhile in Nellore, Four persons died and 6 others sustained injuries, when an auto was hit by a speeding RTC bus near Karikadu village in Doravarisatram mandal in the district on Wednesday. The deceased were identified as Nagaiah (27), Seshaiah (47) and Subrahmanyam (40) and Chandraiah (52).

According to sources, 15 workers from Budidagali and Meejoorukarikadu villages were returning to their villages in an auto, when a speeding RTC bus towards Sullurupeta rammed into the auto at Karikadu village. Two persons died on the spot, another succumbed to injuries, while being shifted to Sullurupeta area hospital and Chandraiah died in hospital. A case has been registered.
