Kakinada: The round table meet organised by CPM East Godavari unit at Sundarayya Bhavan on Friday demanded the conduct of all-party meet by the district administration to disclose the modalities of newly-formed Godavari Urban Development Authority (GUDA).

Addressing the meet, CPM district unit president D Seshu Babji said that the state government recently announced four development authorities at state level. As far as East Godavari was concerned, GUDA had been formed with both Kakinada and Rajamahendravaram corporations covering four municipalities and 203 villages. He suspected the coverage of such a large area to help landlords and real estate trade. He said that the formation and proposed development should not put extra burden on common man.

The round table meet decided to meet the district collector on the issue and also decided to conduct district-level meet soon.
CPI leader T Prasad, people’s front convener D Ramana Raju (ML), CPI New Democracy leader J Venkateshwarulu, representatives of AAP Narala Siva, YSRCP representative Manoj Kumar, CPM leaders Palivela Veerababu, Ch Ajay Kumar and others attended.
