AP NGOs stage protest over regularization of contract employees

Andhra Pradesh NGOs on Tuesday staged protests in Vijayawada over the regularization of the contract employees.

This is the first time the NGOs are staging protests in all the districts after the bifurcation of the state. The NGOs also demanded closing outsourcing process and protested against the contributory pension scheme under the leadership of APNGO president Ashok Babu.

Speaking to the media in this regard, the employees said that they are demanding additional weightage to the pension for the employees and increasing retirement age of class 4 employees from 60 to 62.

They also informed that the state government is yet to clear the arrears which were kept pending for 3 years.
