Tirupati: Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya said that the state government will take stringent action if any official demands bribe for implementation of social welfare schemes. She participated in Nava Nirmana Deeksha programme held in the office of the Tirupati Municipal Corporation here on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, the Minister said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has been providing transparent rule to the people of the state. Akhila Priya mentioned that the Chief Minister has been working relentlessly for state development after bifurcation of united Andhra Pradesh.

“Chandrababu wants to provide better living conditions for people of the state on par with developed states like Gujarat, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka,” the Minister said. She made an appeal to the public to call toll free number 1100 if they face any problem so that their grievances are resolved.

The Minister stated that the Chief Minister has been developing all the three cities-- Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati--equally. On the employment front, Akhila Priya said Chandrababu succeeded in convincing the multinational and corporate companies to open their units in AP for providing jobs to local youth.
