The union minister participated in various programmes in Iruvada village of Atchuthapuram mandal on Monday. The village was adopted by Anakapalle MP M Srinivasa Rao. Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Gajapathi Raju said that the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana scheme has been introduced in order to develop all the villages across the country as a model villages.

Unless the all the villagers educated, there was no use of the modern facilities and creation of updated infrastructure in the villages. He called upon the officials to prepare a plan to achieve 100 literacy rate in the Iruvada village.

On the occasion, MP, Anakapalle M Srinivasa Rao said that he would also implement 'Chitti Guruvulu' programme which is presently implementing in Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju's adopted village Dwarapudi village in Vizianagaram district.
On the occasion, the minister inaugurated various buildings and laid foundation stones for other development works.

Both leaders presented documents of houses to the weaker sections and also distributed 70 LPG connections under Deepam scheme. Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Chairperson Zilla Parishad L Bhavani, MLAs, MLCs and several officials including joint collector G Srujana were present.
