Visakhapatnam: Intensive check against ticketless travel was conducted under the guidance of Assistant Commercial Managers, Waltair, Sukhram Horo and Jayant Pipplai for the last two days.

A total number of 32 trains were checked at Srikakulam Road and Bobbili stations and in Palasa-Duvvada, in which a total number of 649 ticketless travellers, irregular ticket travellers and un-booked luggage were detected. An amount of Rs.2.26 lakh was realised towards fare and penalty.

Intensive ticket checking was conducted on Palasa-Duvaada Main line and Vizianagaram-Rayagada section during which during 546 cases of ticketless travel, irregular tickets were detected resulting an amount of Rs 1.88 lakh was realised as penalty.
