Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Aided Colleges Part-time and Temporary Lecturers’ Association (APACPTLA) demanded that state government to fulfil its justifiable demands which were pending for many years.

The part-time and temporary lecturers who are having equal qualification and experience on par with the government lecturers were neglected and the government is showing step-motherly attitude towards them.

Participating in the state-level meeting of the association held at SKVT College here on Saturday, association general secretary Ramesh said the government failed to hear the problems of part-time and temporary lecturers despite sending repeated reminders.

The lecturers of this category are starving due to lack of sufficient salaries. He demanded the state government to regularise their services even with five years’ service and scrap the GO number 38 issued banning the appointment of part-time and temporary lecturers in degree and junior colleges. MLC Adireddy Appa Rao assured to take up the issue to the notice of Chief Minister to fulfil their demands.
