Vijayawada: Finance Minister and Krishna district incharge minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said on Monday the Government was framing guidelines for the regularisation of house sites, which are below 100 square yards in Krishna district. He said 24 lakh houses sites in the district are yet to be regularised and a large number of people had been waiting for it for a long time.

Yanamala Ramakrishnudu conducted a review meeting with the district officials at the Irrigation office and asked the officials to take steps to spend total funds allotted to each department. He said only 85 percent of the funds are being spent in the district.

The Finance Minister said he would review for two hours every week with the district officials on the progress of the welfare schemes and development works. He said there is laxity in spending the funds allotted by the Government and suggested the officials to utilise the funds.

He asked the Krishna district officials to prepare an action plan to conduct the review meeting two hours every week in the city and felt some officials and some Government department failed to take the welfare schemes into the public.

Yanamala Ramakrishnudu announced he would conduct review meeting on the subjects of municipal administration, Urban housing, Kolleru and Revenue in the next meeting.

He further asked the officials to attend the meeting with details related to their concerned department and pointed that the Ministers of concerned departments and district ministers should participate in the review meeting to be held every week.

Deputy speaker in the Assembly Mandali Buddha Prasad, MPs Kesineni Srinivas, Konakalla Narayana, Ministers Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, Kollu Ravindra, ZP Chairperson Gadde Anuradha, joint collector Gandham Chandrudu, VMC commissioner J Nivas and other officials attended the review meeting.
