Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is working hard to complete the irrigation projects in the state over the last three years.

He said that the opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy blamed the construction of Pattiseema Lift Irrigation Scheme when it was started and now it has begun feeding the Godavari water to Krishna Delta ayacut. “Now the Godavari water is reaching River Krishna and we are supplying the water to Krishna Delta farmers. Is Jagan seeing the water flow?’ he questioned.

He stated that Jagan abused Chief Minister Chandrababu 160 times in the recently concluded YSRCP Plenary. He should apologise for his comments against the Chief Minister, Devineni demanded. He said that the projects were limited to foundation stones in YS Rajasekhara Reddy regime and these leaders did not question that at that time.

Government whip Chintamaneni Prabhakar said that about 13,000 acres of land in Koppaka, Ammapalem, Pedakadimi, Vatluiru, Ankannagudem, Bhogapuram, B Singavaram villages will be cultivated. District Collector K Bhaskar and others participated in the programme.

Later the Minister unveiled the statue of former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao and Koppaka village former sarpanch late Parasaram Lakshmi Narasimhacharylu statue in Koppaka Village. The Minister stated that by 2019 Polavaram project will be completed and the government is implementing the best rehabilitation package for the displaced people.
