ABVP burns effigy of Kanhaiya Kumar
The ABVP activists staged a protest at Four Pillars Junction in Pathikonda on Saturday demanding immediate arrest of Kanhaiya Kumar and burnt his effigy. Addressing the protesters, ABVP district convener Mahender said that in a democratic country, everyone has right to express their feelings.

“It is not a crime to say Bharat Mata Ki Jai,” he said. During Kanhaiya Kumar’s long march meeting held at Pathikonda on Friday, a plain dress person said Bharat Mata Ki Jai.
With this the agitating, All India Students Federation (AISF) and All India Youth Federation (AIYF) activists at once pounced on him and beaten black and blue. It is totally an inhuman act, he stated. Kanhaiya Kumar was an accused and several cases were pending against him at Delhi.
Of not having guts to address a conference at the district headquarters, the federations have organised his meeting at a remote place like Pathikonda. He along with other Parishad leaders rose anti slogans against AISF and AIYS. They demanded stringent action on the federation activists and immediate arrest of Jawahar Lal Nehru University former students president Kanhaiya Kumar.
