Amaravati: The first press conference of film hero and Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan in Vijayawada city took place under dramatic situation.

A huge number of fans surrounded the private hotel in Mahatma Gandhi Road where he interacted with the media. In view of the rush of fans, police made huge security arrangements by setting up barricades and completely blocking the road adjacent to the which connects MG Road with Siddhartha Nagar.

Media persons had a tough time in entering the hotel due to the overwhelming presence of fans and police personnel. Some fans barged into the media conference hall also. According to sources, nearly 400 security personnel including police, private and bouncers followed the film hero. The fans who sneaked into the media conference venue in spite of police vigil raised slogans terming Pawan as CM.

Interestingly, the film star himself expressed his inability to control the mob saying that is why he was avoiding walkathon even he wants to embark on it. Earlier, Pawan reached Gannavaram airport on a special flight along with his team, including Harvard University doctors. Minister Kamineni Srinivas and several Jana Sena leaders participated in a rally from airport to Vijayawada. Hundreds of two-wheelers and cars followed the convoy the actor.

Pawan flexie damaged The flexi of hero Pawan Kalyan was damaged by some miscreants at the Shivalayam Center at Bhavanipuram in Vijayawada city on Monday. Tension prevailed for some time when the followers of the film hero got angry over the incident. But the timely intervention by the police brought the situation under control.

According to police, some fans of Pawan Kalyan set up the flexes on the midnight of Sunday by welcoming the film hero on his city visit. But they noticed in the morning that some of the flexes were damaged.

After identifying the incident, the followers of Pawan Kalyan brought the issue to notice of the local Telugu Desam leader, P Nageshwara Rao. He lodged a complaint at the local police station along with the fans of Pavan Kalyan. CI K Srinivasa Rao said that they would conduct inquiry on the incident after examining the CC TV footage.
