Select beneficiaries at banks: Mishra
District Collector Kartikeya Mishraon Tuesday directed the officials to conduct a special drive for selecting beneficiaries in SC, ST, BC, Kapu and Minority Corporations from August 4 to 11 in their respective bank branches.
Kakinada: District Collector Kartikeya Mishraon Tuesday directed the officials to conduct a special drive for selecting beneficiaries in SC, ST, BC, Kapu and Minority Corporations from August 4 to 11 in their respective bank branches. Speaking through a video conference at Collectorate here on Tuesday, the collector said the selection of all beneficiaries for various schemes now onwards would be held at banks in East Godavari.
Earlier, these selections were held at Mandal Parishad Development Offices(MPDO) and at Municipal Offices.
He also instructed the officials of municipal corporations to go to the banks and select the beneficiaries as per the targets fixed to banks.He said previously these selections received criticism due to non-participation of bankers and related officials. He said this innovative process makes the selection procedure easier andenables right allocation of loan to the targeted beneficiary.
He also directed the officials to sanction loans as per the qualification of beneficiary.He also reviewed the progress of housing schemes and said that 27,000 beneficiaries were selected for NTR Rural Housing Scheme in the district.He directed the officials to check the social and financial status of selected beneficiary with the Social and Economic Survey Data.
Joint Collector A Mallikarjuna, JC2 J Radha Krishnamurthy and district officers of various departments attended.
