Chittoor: The ‘Pushapa Pallaki’ of Lord Varasiddi Vinayaka Swamy fell on the ground after completion of the Pushpapallaki seva here on Sunday. As the devotees started scrambling to get the flowers from Pushpa Pallaki of Lord Ganesh with a devotional fervour, the Pallaki fell on ground in the early hours.

It may be recalled that Pallaki Seva began on Saturday night and continued up to Sunday morning. After having the darshan of Lord Ganesh on the Pushpa Pallaki, the devotees have forcibly plucked flowers from there.

As it was made by paperboards, the pallaki fell on the ground hurting the sentiments of devotees. Brahmostsvams of Lord Varasiddi Vinayaka were commenced on August 25 and to be concluded on September 14.

Speaking to The Hans India here on Sunday, Kanipakam Temple Executive Officer Purnachandra Rao said that it was an unfortunate incident in the ongoing Brahmostvams.

He said the devotees started scrambling for flowers standing near the Pushpa Pallaki after completion of the seva, which led to the incident.
