Visakhapatnam: Another low pressure is brewing up over north Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood during next 48 hours. The system is likely to trigger more rains over Andhra Pradesh during the same period.

Local Cyclone Warning Centre (CWC) officials said under the influence of active Southwest Monsoon over Andhra Pradesh, heavy rain occurred at isolated places over Chittoor and Kadapa districts of Rayalaseema and Prakasam district of Coastal Andhra Pradesh during the last 24 hours.

There are other cyclonic circulations over Telangana, the east-west shear zone, Gulf of Martaban which lay over east-central Bay of Bengal and its neighbourhood and extends up to 4.5 km above mean sea level. These bay conditions are very likely to form a low pressure, according to the CWC officials. As predicted earlier, light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at many places over the state during the next 24 hours.

However, thunderstorm associated with heavy rain very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East and West Godavari and Nellore of coastal Andhra Pradesh, the CWC officials said.
