Breast cancer screening camp at SVIMS today

Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) will be conducting breast cancer awareness and screening camp on Tuesday from 9 am on the campus of College of Nursing. Dr NTR Vaidya Seva Trust decided to conduct this camp for women as October is being observed as National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Dr NTR Vaidya Seva Trust decided to conduct this camp for women as October is being observed as National Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Nowadays, breast cancer is the fifth most common cause of death in women worldwide. The knowledge and awareness about breast cancer allows one to screen them for the disease, thereby helping in early detection of the cancer. This makes way for better management and improved survival. SVIMS has requested the women to attend the breast cancer screening camp.
