After bifurcation of the state, the IT department has succeeded in bringing IT industries to second tier cities. For the first time in Tirupati, six new IT software and one health services company will commence their services from January 13.

Tirupati: After bifurcation of the state, the IT department has succeeded in bringing IT industries to second tier cities. For the first time in Tirupati, six new IT software and one health services company will commence their services from January 13.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu will launch these IT firms in Tirupati and Renigunta on Saturday. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate a IT hub on Mangalam road set up by the IT department. Though the temple city is located between Chennai and Bengaluru, no IT firm set up their units for the past few years. In view of this, the State government has focussed its attention to create jobs in IT sector in Tirupati and provided space to interested firms, who have come forward to set up their units here.

In first phase, AGS Health, Parikar, Exafluence PVT Ltd, Go Tirupati, Young Innovative IT Solutions and Venusgeo Solutions are starting their units on January 13. A major achievement is a leading IT company Zoho is going to start its functioning at new campus near Renigunta Railway Bridge on the way to International Airport. Zoho has provided employment to more than 5,000 people in India and overseas.

Similarly, AGS Health Company is working in the field of medical coding, billing and other needs of corporate hospitals. More than 5,000 employees are working across world in AGS Health company. Exafluence Pvt Ltd is a software creation and business analytical company. As part of IT sector development, the IT wing has established a new IT park at Renigunta in 149 acres of land with state-of-the-art infrastructure besides launching incubation centre in 10,000 sft space under 7 INQ company.

District collector PS Pradyumna has inspected the new IT firms’ buildings near Marasa Sarovar hotel in Tirupati and discussed with IT firms’ representatives on jobs creation for qualified professionals.
