Hamsa awards to be presented to artistes on Ugadi
Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Commission will celebrate Ugadi on March 18. On the auspicious day of Ugadi, eminent artistes, poets will be honoured with Kala Ratna (Hamsa) and Ugadi awards, according to communique from the CEO of Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Commission.
Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Commission will celebrate Ugadi on March 18. On the auspicious day of Ugadi, eminent artistes, poets will be honoured with Kala Ratna (Hamsa) and Ugadi awards, according to communique from the CEO of Andhra Pradesh State Creativity and Culture Commission. The Kala Ratna (Hamsa) awards will be given to people of eminence in disciplines like literature, music, dance, painting, sculpture, drama, folk, mimicry and Avadhanam.
Under Ugadi awards category,the awards will be given for literary, music, dance, painting, sculpture, drama, folk, mimicry and Avadhanam, healing, magic, mime, Harikatha and Burrakatha, journalism, social work and other sectors recommended by the committee. People, who had received Padma, and National awards in the field of literature, music and drama will be the judges.
