3 held, jewellery worth 3.5 L seized
CCS police arrested three offenders and seized jewellery worth Rs 3.50 lakh from Kacheti Raghavendra Swamy, 25, of Kummaripalem centre, Pittala Renuka, 27, and her mother Pittala Parvati, 45, of Old Guntur.
Vijayawada: CCS police arrested three offenders and seized jewellery worth Rs 3.50 lakh from Kacheti Raghavendra Swamy, 25, of Kummaripalem centre, Pittala Renuka, 27, and her mother Pittala Parvati, 45, of Old Guntur.
The three accused have robbed gold articles under the police station limits of Krishnalanka, Machavaram, One town and Governorpet. The police arrested the three-member gang in Kummaripalem and recovered gold articles worth Rs 3.50 lakh from their possession.
Additional DCP (crime) Shireen Begum said the main accused Raghavendra Swamy, who hails from Bellary, Karnataka, settled in Guntur as a cook, has been indulging in robberies at the Bus stand. He along with two others Parvati and Renuka cleverly lift hand bags of women at the bus station and busy roads.
