Global Yachting Fest from March 28
Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust MT Krishna Babu inspected the works and arrangements for the International Yachting Festival to be conducted from March 28 to April 1 at IFR Jetty in the port.
Visakhapatnam: Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust MT Krishna Babu inspected the works and arrangements for the International Yachting Festival to be conducted from March 28 to April 1 at IFR Jetty in the port.
Speaking on the occasion here on Tuesday, the Chairman informed that as per the decision of the state government, the VPT is felicitating in conducting of International Yachting Festival being organised by Andhra Pradesh government, at Passenger Jetty developed at the time of International Fleet Review.
He said that to create a congenial atmosphere to the tourists at national and international level the VPT is developing the facility at a cost of Rs 3 crore, he added. After the IFR, the Yachting Festival will the first of its kind in Visakhapatnam. This kind of yachting activity would continue in the long run especially for the tourists who enjoy the sea travel as a passion.
