Youth mows down traffic constable in Kakinada
Driving in an inebriated condition, a youngster mowed down a traffic policeman in broad daylight in East Godavari district.

The youth has been identified as Sidda Srinivas, a B-Tech student. The incident took place in Kakinada a few days ago when Srinivas along with four others in the car attempted to escape a traffic check.
The traffic police who were conducting a check on helmet driving tried to stop the car but in the process, a traffic constable was hit, leaving him severely injured. A video of the incident has gone viral showing the car knocking the constable down.
While the traffic constable is undergoing treatment at Kakinada government hospital, the accused has been arrested. A case under sections 332 and 307 of the IPC and under the Motor Vehicles Act has been registered against him.
