Amaravati: Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu came down heavily on YSRCP president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for not making even a single comment against the BJP which was involved in horse-trading in Karnataka, particularly after B S Yeddyurappa was sworn in as the Chief Minister.

He alleged that Jaganmohan Reddy had good relations with mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy. Addressing a press conference after attending the Mahanadu Resolutions Committee meeting at the Secretariat on Monday, Yanamala said that the audio tapes related to purchasing Congress and JD(S) MLAs by Janardhan Reddy were on the public domain now.

But, Jaganmohan Reddy was not making any comment on it as he maintains good relations with Janardhan Reddy, he alleged. The Minister said that Jaganmohan Reddy was overenthusiastic in questioning the TDP regarding telephone records in Telangana, but surprisingly remained mum with respect to the BJP in Karnataka.

He pointed out that Jaganmohan Reddy, Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan and BJP leaders in the State remained silent on the horse-trading by BJP in Karnataka. Ramakrishnudu demanded that the Central government should conduct a fair and transparent probe into the allegations of horse-trading against the BJP leaders in Karnataka. He alleged that the BJP was protecting corrupt leader Janardhan Reddy, who was facing CBI probe for amassing illegal wealth.

The BJP high command did not speak anything against Janardhan Reddy in the MLAs purchase scam, he added. The audio tapes relating to interaction of both Janardhan Reddy and his brother Sriramulu were on public domain, he said. On the other hand, the TDP has finalised 36 resolutions for the party’s mega conclave Mahanadu, which will be organised from May 27 to 29 in Vijayawada.
