Vehicle lifters arrested by Vijayawada city crime police
The city crime police arrested vehicle lifters and seized the vehicles from them. Police registered cases in various police stations during the past few months and finally arrested the accused.
Vijayawada: The city crime police arrested vehicle lifters and seized the vehicles from them. Police registered cases in various police stations during the past few months and finally arrested the accused.
They arrested Mudavat Munna of Ibrahimpatnam and seized seven cars worth Rs 39.45 lakh. The accused robbed seven vehicles from the police station limits of Ajit Singh Nagar, Krisha Lanka, Machavaram, Patamata and Pamidumukkala.
Assistant commissioner of police (Crime) Shireen Begum said on Thursday the accused Mudavat Munna, 33, of Ibrahimpatnam had lifted seven vehicles and was arrested near Milk Project area while he was moving under suspicious circumstances.
She produced the accused before the media at One Town Police Station. In other cases, the crime police arrested seven members of a gang and seized 12 bikes worth Rs 2.10 lakh.
The accused were identified as K Chandrasekhar, Kambhampati Nagaraju, Byri Jayaraju, Gongati Krantikumar, M Suresh, V Krishna and Narapogu Gopal. In other cases, the city crime police arrested 13 youth, including three minors in connection with the robbing of mobile phones and two-wheelers.
