On the second day of Nava Nirmana Deeksha, the civic chief has addressed residents in various divisions. He stated that it is the responsibility of every resident to protect environment as Tirupati is a world renowned Hindu religious city.

He declared that the civic body would implement plastic ban in Tirupati soon. Vijay Rama Raju has made an appeal to cultivate leafy vegetables in roof gardens in their houses as it is a very healthy practice, and everyone can produce pollution-free vegetables for their needs. “Residents should hand over dry and wet waste to municipal staff for keeping the city environs clean,” he stated.

Later, Tirupati MLA Suguna has distributed the saplings to denizens in the division meetings. Deputy Commissioner MVD Phaniram and other officials were also present.
