Vijayawada: Bhavanipuram police successfully unravelled the missing case of 16-year-old minor girl, who went missing from her home at Bhavanipuram on June 7.
She went to Gulbarga, Karnataka with her boyfriend. But the police traced her and brought back to Vijayawada on Sunday and handed over to her parents.
According to information, a minor girl, resident of Bhavanipuram, had eloped with her boyfriend who was working in a reputed saloon, which has nationwide branches.
The boyfriend after going to Gulbarga tried to join as a worker in the same organisation there. But Gulbarga branch staff contacted Vijayawada branch and enquired about the worker.
Vijayawada staff informed their counterparts in Gulbarga that the worker had worked till recently in Vijayawada and eloped with the minor girl. Bhavanipuram police immediately went to Gulbarga and brought the minor girl and handed over to her parents. They arrested the youth and registered a kidnap case against the him.
