As a part of the state-wide Samuhika Gruhapravesam (house warming ceremony), the district administration made elaborate arrangements for the event for 19,429 houses in the district on Thursday. The state government has decided to organise community house warming ceremony of all the houses that were sanctioned under various schemes on July 5 across the state.

To mark the occasion, Minister for Roads and Buildings Ch Ayyannapatrudu would inaugurate a house at PK Gudem village in Natavaram mandal in the district. All the MLAs would present at various locations at their respective constituencies.
Disclosing about the house warming ceremony details, Collector Pravin Kumar said that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu would interact with the beneficiaries through video conference and arrangements made for the interaction at New Gajuwaka area.
During the past four years, the government had sanctioned as many as 52,540 houses to the poor in the district. However, the construction of 27,271 houses was completed and already 7,842 beneficiaries entered their houses in October 2017. For the rest of 19,429 houses, Gruha Pravesam would be held on Thursday, the Collector said.
All the divisions in the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, 894 villages in the district, gruha pravesam would be conducted. On the occasion, the Collector announced the details of constituency wise completed houses.
GVMC: 3,593, Anakapalle 1,064, Bheemili 1,622, Pendurty 1,180, Madugula 2,055, Chodavaram 2,078, Payakaraopeta 2,471, Yelamanchili 1,865, Narsipatnam 1,660, Araku 1,060 and Paderu 781.
