Road restoration works in Guntur to be over in a week

Guntur: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Srikesh B Lathkar said that AEs are responsible for restoration of roads in Guntur city in the backdrop of digging of roads for laying underground drainage.
Addressing a meeting held here on Thursday, he said that the AEs should fill the holes on the roads within a week and take necessary equipment including JCBs.
He accepted proposals submitted by AEs on the spot and added that the AEs would have to complete the road restoration and fill the holes on the road.
He directed them to check slush on the roads immediately. He instructed them to submit progress of the works every evening.
DEs and AEs were responsible for maintaining quality in road works, he added.
GMC Superintending Engineer Satyanarayana was also present.
