Rajamahendravaram: Mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai has said that the corporation is initiating steps to speed up development activities in the city.
Laying foundation stones for drains and roads in 48th and 50th divisions on Friday, she said the road between Panasa Chettu centre and quarry market would be widened to meet the increasing traffic.
Directions were issued to the respective officials to complete the works with quality as per schedule. The corporation was giving priority for supply of drinking water, sanitation, lighting etc.
Corporators K Rama Krishna, G Parvathi, B Hilinia, GM Rao and officials were present.
