Nandyal: The eunuchs are angry at Telugu Desam Party MP from Chittoor Sivaprasad. They have filed a case against him in Nandyal for insulting the hijra community. As part of his protest demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh, Sivaprasad dressed like a eunuch and staged a sit-in.
The hijras took objection to this and staged a rally in Nandyal town and later lodged a complaint against him. Even otherwise the people in the state are unhappy with Sivaprasad’s actions, which they find are very demeaning. Yet, Sivaprasad is carrying on with his protests.
While donning hijra’s robes, he said this was the last role he would play to highlight his demand. But, clearly the hijras are unhappy. The hijras said the MP had insulted their community and wanted the police to register a case. The police accepted the complaint of the hijras.
