In many diseases eye's electrical activity changes, sophisticated machines in the labarotory are very sensitive to pick up subtle changes early in the disease before its manifesations of different signs and symptoms. This is another value addition to the institute.

The Kode Venkatadri Chowdary (KVC) Campus in Vijayawada, established in February 2011, is LVPEI’s third tertiary eye care centre. Last year, 94,949 out-patients were examined and 13,719 surgeries performed at the centre. of them 37 per cent patients were examined and 58 per cent surgeries performed free of cost.

In order to make the surgical services more efficient and effective, the operating room complex at the campus has been upgraded with additional infrastructure and advanced equipment with funds received from Laurus Labs, a leading pharmaceutical company in the country.
