Gudivada: The state government is providing dole to the unemployed youth in the state to support and encourage the youth, said Gudivada municipal chairman Y Srinivas Rao.

He participated in Yuvanestam scheme launch programme organised at KTR Women’s College along with former MLA Raavi Venkateswara Rao and RDO GV Satyavani on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas Rao said even though the state government was in debts, to support the unemployed youth the government was providing unemployment dole.

The government was supporting the youth by organising job melas to provide employment and skill development programmes to improve skills among the youth, he said and added that in the days to come job mela would be organised at Gudivada.

He further said that Yuvanestam scheme launched on the 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi would be ideal in the country.

He said that as part of house for all scheme, 10,000 houses were built and as part of the first phase 3,300 houses would be handed over to the beneficiaries soon.

Roads, drainage, electricity, drinking water facility would be provided to the houses, he added.

ZP vice-chairperson S Pushpavathi, East Delta Project chairman G Chanti, Gudlavalleru MPP Kosaraju Baratji Devi, CDPO A Samudraveni, Tahsildar A Papamma, Swarna Mery and others were present on the occasion.
