UHC outsourcing staff seek equal pay for equal work

Ongole: The Prakasam district unit of the Chief Minister Health Centers (Urban Health Centers) Outsourcing Employees Union demanded that the government announce equal pay for equal work and regularisation of the services.
They protested in front of the Collectorate and submitted a representation to the officials on Monday.
D Anitha, president of the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Health Centers (Urban Health Centers) Outsourcing Employees Union,
said that the government was operating 1,475 Chief Minister Health Centers in the state through the Apollo and Dhanush Infotech services.
The staff working under contract and outsourcing agencies as per the GO No 3 for nearly 16 years and were absorbed by the agencies and running the UHCs.
As the government had increased the salaries of the contract and outsourcing staff by 50 percent through GO 151, the staff at the UHCs were also demanding the same salaries viz, Rs 18,975 for ANMs, Rs 50,000 for doctors, Rs 17,500 for LT and ITs, Rs 15,000 for DEOs, Rs 12,000 for GA/CAs.
The employees demanded that the government timings of the UHCs were changed to 9 AM to 4 PM as against earlier from 8 AM to 12 noon and 4 pm to 8 pm.
M Lakshmi and R Indira Devi, secretary and president of the Prakasam district unit asked the government to continue the earlier attenders and watchmen under the Apollo management also. They also demanded to fix job charts for the employees.
