Guntur: Special pujas were performed at all Siva temples across the district on Thursday on the occasion of beginning of auspicious Karthika Masam. On the occasion, Ekadasa Rudrabhishekams and Laksha Bilwarchana were performed at temples.

The temples were also decorated with lights. A large number of devotees thronged Amareswaralingeswara Swamy temple at Amaravati to perform Abhishekams to Lord Siva seeking his blessings.

Similarly, thousands of devotees thronged Sri Trikoteswara Swamy temple at Kotappakonda. The Kotappakonda Devastanam authorities performed special pujas and abishekams to the presiding deity Trikoteswara Swamy since the wee hours of Thursday.

A large number of devotees visited the temple and performed pujas to the presiding deity to fulfill their wishes. Devastanam authorities distributed prasadam to the devotees.

Assembly Speaker Dr Kodela Siva Prasada Rao performed giri pradakshanam to Trikoteswara Swamy temple and performed special pujas to the presiding deity Lord Siva on the hillock of the temple seeking his blessings.

Similarly, special pujas were preformed at Bramaramba Sametha Mallikarjuna Swamy at Pedakakani. Devastanam authorities performed special pujas to the presiding deity Lord Siva.
