Vijayawada: Women should have awareness and knowledge on Acts related to women and should be bold enough to report any incident to the police, said Machavaram Circle Inspector Sahera Begum.
She was the chief guest at women awareness programme organised at PVP on Sunday.
She said that attacks on women were on the raise these days and women should have the courage to face the problems.
Women should immediately report to the nearest police station, if any incident occurs.
Women excel in all fields these days. However, in some areas they face harassment. Women should be bold to complain about workplace harassment, she added.
Big Boss 2 fame Deepthi said that women were better than men in most of the fields. They should be given equal opportunity with men.
Lucky draw winners were announced by CI Sahera Begum and Deepthi.
