Kadapa: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Secretary and District Judge K Praveen Kumar has said people should distance themselves from extramarital affairs and avoid unsafe sex as it may lead to contracting AIDS.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion of World AIDS Day here on Saturday, he said there was no alternative to the person, who was affected by AIDS except death. No medicine was found till date, he stated.
The DLSA Secretary said that lakhs of youth across the globe are dying at an early age due to unsafe sex.
District Medical & Health Officer (DMHO) N Uma Sundari said AIDS would spread with transfusion of blood and needles.
She urged the people to collect the blood for needy from government certified blood banks to prevent AIDS.
Earlier Joint Collector-2 M Siva Reddy has flagged off the rally which started at Koti Reddy Circle and concluded at municipal office. Additional DM&HO Rami Reddy and others were present.
