Anantapur: Are you applying for a new ration card, tired of going around the government offices. Here is the good news for you. AP government has launched a new service for obtaining new ration card by just making a call to 1100 helpline.
AP Civil supplies MD Surya Kumari said that from now on the beneficiaries who are applying for the new ration card should dial 1100 helpline and give the details. For this service, the beneficiary detail must be registered in the Praja Sadhikara Survey. Based on this information the Aadhar card number of the beneficiary will be verified with the database.
If as per the required norms, all the information is found to be correct, then they will send the details of the beneficiary to National Information Center (NIC) to issue the new ration card.
From NIC the detail will be transferred to concerned districts Civil Supplies department and from here the new ration card will be sent to the beneficiary Mandal.
In this meantime, the 1100 center will send the RC number to the beneficiary mobile number. By using the RC number the beneficiary can take the printout of the new ration card by visiting the EPDS website.
As a part of real-time governance initiative, the AP government has started 1100 helpline to address grievances of the citizens.
