Russian Federation Navy takes part in seizure operations demo
As part of the Harbour Phase of ongoing Indra Navy, the bilateral exercise between Russian Federation Navy RFN and Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam, Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, FOCEF visited RFN Ship Varyag, guided missile cruiser on Wednesday
Visakhapatnam: As part of the Harbour Phase of ongoing Indra Navy, the bilateral exercise between Russian Federation Navy (RFN) and Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam, Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, FOCEF visited RFN Ship Varyag, guided missile cruiser on Wednesday.
He was received by Rear Admiral Mikhailov Edward Evgenievich, Deputy Chief of the HQ of Submarine Forces, Pacific Fleet and was given a guided tour of the ship.
Personnel from participating RFN ships visited IN Ships Satpura and Katmatt and personnel from Eastern Fleet visited RFN Ships Varyag and Admiral Panteleyev, a large Anti-Submarine Destroyer as part of cross visits.
With an aim to share best practices, teams from RFN and IN jointly carried out visit board search and seizure (VBSS) training onboard RFN Ship Boris Butoma in harbour.
