Visakhapatnam: All arrangements were made for the conduct of online examination for DSC-2018. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao reviewed the arrangements here on Sunday.

Addressing the media on the occasion, the HRD Minister said that the DSC online test will be conducted in two phases to fill up a total of 7,902 posts. The online DSC exam will be conducted in two phases. The first phase examination will be conducted between December 24 and January 4.

The examination is being held in the first phase to fill up 622 posts. Additionally 30 high-end computers were kept standby to deal with technical problems in Vizag. In the first phase of the test, 2,43,170 candidates would appear and it would be completed on January 4 for the posts of school assistants, PGT, TGT, music, arts, craft, language pundits and physical education teachers.

In all 3,46,053 candidates will be attending the second phase for secondary grade teachers which would be held from January 18 to 30. The examination will be held in 124 centres of which 113 are located in AP, three in Odisha, four in Telangana, two each in Bengaluru and Chennai.

The Minister said that for the benefit of the specially-abled candidates, 50 minutes of extra time has been allocated. Attendants have been provided for the physically challenged and they should produce valid documents as proof for their disability. The candidates have to login into their computers 15 minutes in advance and no candidate would be allowed inside the centre after commencement of the test, he added.
