Tirupati: Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) has selected 103 poor patients for free surgeries under TTD Pranadana Scheme. The Pranadana Committee led by Director cum Vice Chancellor Dr TS Ravikumar met on Thursday to select the patients.

After careful scrutiny of the health conditions and other social and economic factors of the patients, the committee has shortlisted 103 patients for surgeries in various departments under the TTD’s Pranadana Scheme.

Out of 103 patients, 32 cases belong to Oncology department, 39 in neurosurgery, five in cardiothoracic, 15 in nephrology, four each in nurology and cardiology and one each in medicine, gastroenterology, urology and other departments.

Donors have been donating extensively to the scheme introduced by TTD for people below poverty line to get advanced surgeries.
